DirectAdvantage System Components

To maximise your earning potential and fast-track the return on your DirectAdvantage® investment, Sawgrass Europe recommends the following system components:

DirectAdvantage Printer and NaturaLink® Inks - Print your image directly from your computer to your garment using NaturaLink inks. These bright, durable water-based pigment inks cross-link with cotton to create a soft, permanent imprint. 
 

Computer and Graphic Design Software - Sawgrass recommends that your system include at a minimum a Pentium 4 - 2.5 GHz Processor, 1 GB System Memory, 80 GB Hard Drive and USB 2.0 connector (Recommended System : Pentium 4 - 3.0 GHz Processor, 2 GB System Memory, 80 GB Hard Drive and USB 2.0 connector), Windows® 2000/XP OS and your choice of Corel® or Adobe® design software to allow you to design customised images for your customers.

• DirectAdvantage Print Driver or RIP - Sawgrass offers the following colour management tools that allow you to manage your output for the best colour for your project and fabric type:
• The DirectAdvantage Print Driver which comes resident with the printer is an ideal colour management tool for any project that requires basic colour management and the ability to manage ink usage for the most cost-effective image reproduction.

The DirectAdvantage RIP, free with purchase of white ink, allows the DirectAdvantage user enhanced colour management control and is ideal for applications that require greater vibrancy and saturation that approaches what you would achieve with screen printing - without the tedious set-up and messy clean-up.

Heat Press - For best results, you will need to work with a quality commercial-grade heat press which achieves even heat and pressure to press the garment and experience brilliant colour and image quality.

Optional White Ink Capability - Now you can take your DirectAdvantage business to new heights with the white ink printing option, which enables you to print directly on white, dark and coloured garments. Conversion is simple - a Sawgrass representative provides on-site installation and training to get you up and running seamlessly.
