RIP's and Colour Management Tools

RIP's 

To enable you to print accurate colours with a large format printer, you will need to use RIP (Raster Image Processing) software, a program that interprets the data being sent to a wide format printer and translates it so the printer understands. RIP software also applies coloor correction to the image by utilising ICC profiles. Once set up in your system, ICC profiles automatically take care of most colour adjustments, time after time.

Sawgrass Europe recommends the use of either Wasatch or ErgoSoft RIP software. We can provide stock colour profiles for each RIP software and have the ability to create custom profiles for your total solution.

Quality colour management tools, such as spectrophotometers, are essential for creating customised colour profiles in-house.  For advanced users, Sawgrass can recommend colour management tools at the highest level of performance; ensuring consistent colour from scan to final print!
